About Nelly Wade

Hi, I’m Karleh the founder/owner of Nelly Wade Australia.  I started Nelly Wade in 2016, by making bags, then after the frustration of being a bigger boobed lady shopping for cute dresses, I branched out to dresses - they say that invention is the mother of necessity! I struggled with finding the empire line/baby doll dresses I loved that didn’t cut my boobs in half or squish them to death!

Fast forward to 2025 and all Nelly Wade dresses are made in very small batches.  We use breathable fabrics including 100% cotton and a luxurious cotton/linen mix, with sustainable coconut buttons.  Inclusive sizing is paramount to the ethos of Nelly Wade, XS-XXL.  It’s all about the bold prints, all the colour, comfort and Pockets in everything 🙌

Nelly was my Nan who taught me to knit and sew when I was young.  She was my creative inspiration and my great love ❤️
